The Top 100 Experience Golf School made its debut at the PGA WEST® Golf Academy this past May 6-7. A diverse group of nine men and women golfers took full advantage of the unique opportunity to level up their games with three of the nation’s top golf coaches: PGA WEST Golf Academy’s Director of Instruction Bryan Lebedevitch and Instructors Joe Hallett and Brady Riggs. All three have been ranked in the “Top 100 Teachers in America” by GOLF magazine, as well as in Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in Every State 2022-2023. They coach golfers at all levels, including PGA and LPGA Tour professionals. The participants also received custom club fitting from Master Club Fitter Charlie Rodi during the two-day golf clinic.
On Day One, players were divided into three small groups with an assigned instructor for coaching and exercises on the driving range followed by a catered lunch and then on-course instruction in the afternoon.
In the evening, Executive Chef Herve Glin prepared a delicious multicourse menu for the group at Pete’s Grill in the Pete Dye Clubhouse. They also had the opportunity to hone their swings on the new Trackman 4 indoor golf simulators adjacent to the new lounge and bar.
Day Two started with a ball striking session with their assigned instructors. Afterwards, Lebedevitch, Hallett and Riggs each manned a station—AimPoint exercises, ball striking drills and short game coaching—rotating groups through each so students could reap the benefits from working with all three instructors.
In addition to complimentary PGA WEST signature items, the participants received a special surprise—a hand-signed bottle of wine bottle from Cristie Kerr and her namesake Kerr Cellars winery. A former world #1 LPGA professional golfer, Kerr has trained with Lebedevitch since 2004. The Golf Academy team is also sending each participant a photo compilation book showcasing the weekend’s highlights.
